Beginning January 7th!
Have fun, learn to sing, and give back to the community through performing with YAALsing, YAAL’s community children’s chorus! Songs will be a mix of contemporary pop songs and traditional choir music.
There are many benefits of participating in a children’s chorus. Through achievement of a high level of musicianship and disciplined performance practice, YAALsing members will develop their sense of self-worth, self-esteem, leadership and pride. This children’s chorus is not affiliated with any religion and aspires to enrich the lives of children from all religious, racial, cultural, and economic backgrounds.
YAAL is dedicated to using its voice and music to contribute to those in the community who will benefit from assistance whether it be in the form of funding or music. Through community service, this group strives to instill in our members a sense of selflessness, community awareness, and service.
YAALsing does not have a tuition fee attached. There is a required t-shirt fee ($8) and music fee ($5). Students will have the opportunity to participate in a yearly fundraiser in lieu of these fees.

Rehearsals will be held at YAAL every Tuesday from 6:30 – 7:30pm, beginning January 7, 2014. The chorus will run for nine weeks, mirroring the LPS school quarters, and will restart every quarter.
Location to be announced! The first quarter concert will take place the week of March 3rd, which is the last week of the quarter.
YAAL aspires to instill commitment and responsibility in all of our young people. Therefore, please make the chorus director aware of any conflicts prior to the rehearsal that will be missed.
The chorus uniform consists of the YAALsing t-shirt and either khaki pants or jeans.
Required T-Shirt – $8
There will be an optional fundraiser in lieu of this fee if you are interested in this option. If you would like to purchase the t-shirt, bring cash, check or pay online.
$5.00 music fee
There is a one time $5 fee for each music folder. This helps us defray costs of music and encourages each student to keep track of their music. Bring cash or check (made out to YAAL) for $5 to purchase your music folder. You may also pay online. Returning members do not need to pay $5. Just bring your folder back.
Free tuition for all children grades 2nd – 12th
6-year-olds will be considered, at the discretion of the chorus director, if they have previously taken a YAAL class or workshop.
